Help for syrian families
Support for widowed mothers and their children
Location: Harim, Syria
Local project partner: Spendahilfe e. V.
Following the establishment of our tent camp in Harim in February 2023, most of the affected families were able to return to relatives. However, five widowed mothers and their 28 children had no such option and continue to rely on the camp as a secure refuge.
These families, who have lost everything due to the earthquake and ongoing conflicts, face the daily challenge of survival in a precarious environment. To provide these mothers and their children with stability and essential support, we supply ongoing monthly assistance totaling 1,500 euros. This funding enables us to supply basic food and vital resources, helping to sustain the families’ daily lives within the challenging camp environment.
In addition, we work to ensure that the children can attend school regularly despite the difficult circumstances. Education is a key factor for their future and our aim is to secure their access to learning, even under these challenging conditions.
Our commitment is to provide not only a safe environment but also a stable presence in their lives until a long-term solution for their future becomes possible.
Estimated amount of funding in 2024: 10,500 euros
