June 29, 2026 A new meeting place for the community in Luang Prabang

Our neighbourhood house in Luang Prabang continues to grow and that’s exactly what makes this project so special.

During the low season, fewer tourists visit Luang Prabang, which naturally means that fewer traditional Baci ceremonies are being held at the neighbourhood house.

Instead of simply waiting for the high season to return, Seng and Vanhphenh came up with a wonderful idea: They opened a small café on the ground floor of the neighbourhood house.

Since then, the house has become more than just a place for visitors from around the world. Today, it has also become a place where local people come together. Neighbours gather for a cup of coffee, catch up with friends and family, work in a relaxed atmosphere or simply enjoy spending time together.

Seeing this development makes us incredibly happy. From the very beginning, our vision was to create a place that would bring people together and remain a vibrant part of the community for years to come. Watching Seng and Vanhphenh continue to develop the project with their own ideas is truly inspiring.

We are excited to see how this special place will continue to grow and bring people together in the future.
